THE CITY OF LONGMONT
Recognized for its craft beer industry and vibrant art community, Longmont is proud of its revitalized downtown, cultural diversity and a place where young families, entrepreneurs, and local businesses can put down roots. The city offers Boulder-adjacent opportunities with real affordability, strong community ties, and room to grow. While once a sleepy town, Longmont now boasts fast-paced commercial and residential growth and is quickly evolving from a bedroom community into a distinctive city of over 90,000 residents. With this growth and evolution comes increased demands on city infrastructure and city staff.

Behind the scenes of this evolution and growth is a passionate team at the city dedicated to enhancing the lives of those who work, live and recreate in Longmont. With over 800 employees scattered in numerous office locations throughout the community, an internal culture change initiative was initiated that would help unify staff with common values and a strong vision for the future.

Brand Challenge
The city had identified a set of values that would foster a high-performing, engaged and thriving municipal workforce by instilling a shared vision and common culture at different levels within the organization. Our first challenge was distilling the city’s complex messaging structure into a simple moniker for the campaign. The city developed individual, shared and organizational core values and attributes. Using this core structure, we developed the campaign theme, “As One. Together. We Lead.” It is positive, forward-looking and unifies the large organization with a sense of inclusivity.

Brand Challenge
As a reminder of the city’s vision and mission, we designed a series of branded interior wall graphics and large format posters that are seen in city offices throughout Longmont. Campaign promotional items were also designed to launch the new program.
